1- Go Sand-boarding

Sand- boarding is a board sport similar to snowboarding only on sand (duh), it’s super fun and adventurous in its own way! It’s a fantastic way of exercising too by working out those leg muscles going up the dune every time you slide down!

3- Spend the day the The Beach

THE BEACH by Meraas  is the only place in Dubai where you can feel the sand between your toes moments before diving into a shopping spree at one of our many handpicked outlets. So whether you want to go for a jog on our purpose built running track, have lunch at one of the 45 cafes or restaurants, catch a movie on the region’s largest open-air beach cinema screen, shop at one of our unique retailers or simply kick-back on the sand and catch some sun – head down to THE BEACH.

4- BurJuman hosts Ripe Night Market

BurJuman Centre will host one of the UAE’s most popular Food and Craft markets starting at the end of August in a bid to give community residents access to fresh produce and provide a fun event for Dubai residents. Starting on August 27th, 5pm

Here is more info!

5- Visit the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve

The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR) is the UAE’s first national park. Carefully planned rehabilitation over the years has resulted in a protected environment for the last of the desert wildernesses. With the rapid development of Dubai as a major business centre in the Gulf, the Dubai Government has long recognized the need to preserve its unique and beautiful desert habitat, and the many threatened flora and fauna species within. This unique reserve was created for the protection of those endangered species and for the conservation of the natural desert habitat and heritage.Enjoy heritage activities too from

6- Take a day trip to Moon Island

A full day by the beach?! YES please! Visit Moon Island to do fishing, swimming, snorkeling, sun bathing, water skiing and BBQ. Book your trip with FISHFISHME!

Moon Island is 70 Kms away from Dubai shoreline. The only way to get there is by a boat, unless you really want to swim! they call this island “the Moon Island” – because of its crescent moon shape. The diving and snorkeling here is some of the region’s best – I even got to swim there and the water is crystal clear!

7- Friday night in Stereo Arcade

Whether or not you love the 80’s music, I can guarantee, you will fall in LOVE with stereo Arcade at least once! Work does take over my life so I rarely ‘club’ but a night but, Stereo Arcade brought out every bit of music, dance and laughter back into those night scenes! Nothing pretentious, nothing showy, the best pure music with DJ Rodge (A Lebanese LEGEND) and a fabulous atmosphere! Best part? It’s a double place, you can either hang out at the pub with the live band or at the club with the DJ. BEST part of it all? Ladies have their own little section on the left called the ladies bar! Did I mention that there is also an arcade area?!

8- Take a Hot Balloon Ride Over the Desert

Your balloon takes off from our designated take off site in the desert off from Dubai – Al Ain Road in the area of The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve.. It is about 35 minutes drive from the Burj Khalifa. You take off next to and often fly over the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, home to many indigenous species like Oryx and Gazelles.

You can book through Baloon.ae

9 – Experience the X-JetPack

Get ready as you are lifted out of the water with this 2 nozzle backpack giving you a boost. Try this new extreme water sport. You are strapped in by a 5 point safety harness (similar to race cars). Water is propelled from the powered unit, into a 20 meter hose, which is forced into 2 jet nozzles on the Jetpack, which in turn lifts you above the water. 2 hand controls are what you use the steer left and right as well as up and down. that easy and because you are strapped in by the harness, you can even let go and use your body weight to control the Jetpack. Found in JBR beach.

10 – Big Game Fishing

Learn the skill of fishing and catching Barracudas and others! Take a 1 hour trip to the corner side of the emirates to Fujeirah and book with Soolyman Sport Fishing, they are known to be the most experienced and proffessional crew from South Africa. You will have a chance to find Tuna, Sailfish, Dorado and the occasional marlin if you are patient enough. By best friend swears by it!

  • This month, I asked the universe to help me in the practice of ‘letting go gracefully’ and I turned towards my Ashtanga practice. It has been more consistent than I can ever remember and I thank my teacher for navigating me.
My mat has always been my private mirror ...Showing me my strength and weaknesses and my ability to push through when I’m stuck. It has me flirting with patience and, hope that one day, I might acquire it. It has been helping me shift my perspective and release the ‘need to control everything’ side of me... but still keep the organized side of me.
Letting go is part of my healing process, whether it’s a posture that I need to fall into or catching my breath... because healing, is my responsibility... and no one else’s.
These series of photos reminds of me a moment of achievement. The moment I’ve always wanted to sail in the Arctic dream a year ago, turned into a reality.
  • I love how so many of you played the exercise on my instastory. Wether it’s real or not, it’s nice to get to know a little more about you.
I found love, success, happiness. Then found power, money, experience 🤣
Did you also manage to find more words?
  • The bravest thing I’ve ever done was be a mother and learning to deal with fears I never knew existed... most of all, when I see her, I see the evidence of how strong I can be, and I remind myself: You’ve got this. 💫
  • The midnight sun is slowly making its way into the arctic. One of the world’s greatest phenomenon. Where the sun never completely sets and is visible day and night. Have you ever seen it?
I struggle to find the words to describe this feeling, because no words are strong enough. This was taken a little past midnight while sailing in the arctic on our @travelwithtjd - We are launching more TJD trips like those for you to join and experience it together. Follow @travelwithtjd to find out more on how you can join ❤️
  • I get asked constantly for advice on the best resorts in the Maldives that is children friendly. For me, it’s not only about the facilities but also the trust that’s built with the staff and the program they have for kids each day. Chloe loved it here, made new friends and cried when we left. That’s why I find it easy to always return to Joali.
What’s your favorite island in Maldives?
  • Italy: A series of few images I took years back when I visited Florence. I remember the highlights of my trip: The gorgeous @fsflorence - Cinque Terre - A moment where I felt I lost all my inspiration - The magical sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo.
What are your favorite things to do in Florence?
  • Throwback to almost 3 years ago. A friend asked for my recommendation for Bali and it brought up some memories. So found this picture. It’s one of my favorite places in Uluwatu and one of my favorite summer! Happy Sunday 🐰
  • The island’s Manta Tree house, designed by one and only Porky Hefer. It’s 5 meters in the air and a wingspan of almost 15m. The 50m tail of the manta is a suspended walkway leading up to body which seats up to 10 people! One of the many art pieces in @joalimaldives - I’ve never seen anything quite like it!!!
  • I’ve been trying to (really focusing more this time) to wake up and sleep with affirmations. It used to help me a lot in the past then somewhere along the way, I stopped for a while.
I’d love to read what’s yours!! Everyday, I try to read and write new ones so here goes mine for today and I hope it resonates with you 💕:
“If I want it, I can attract it” Abraham Hicks
  • I am always surrounded by love (and water) because all I see is love 💕
Happy Easter everyone!
  • A huge shift in my energy today as I start working on our next @travelwithtjd - Scandic countries holds an exhilarating amount of joy and peace in my heart, which I’ve learned not to search anymore for reasons to explain it, because some things cannot always be expressed in words.
We have recently launched Sweden’s Arctic experience on @travelwithtjd other than Finland, Iceland and Norway. The link is in bio if you like to join our polar journeys and have an adventure of a lifetime. Only 2 spaces left for Sweden. Hope to see you on our TJD trips!

  • Sunrise view from my room facing the Athenian Riviera from @fsathens from Arion side of the building which is more laidback.
I have to admit though, it’s good to be back home and back to a routine. I tend to pick up emotions from the people and environment around me, and from time to time, it’s good to be grounded. Thank you Four Seasons for a wonderful experience and congratulations on the opening! ❤️
