3 places to visit this summerLike3

There are numerous places to visit this summer. Surely we could not only stick to 3 but for the sake of the subject, we have asked few of our favorite contributors where they think you should head out this summer 2014.

By Zeina Abdalla.

Bali: I love Bali for many reasons. There are so many things to see, even if it isn’t your first time visiting. The weather is amazing all year round (except for the rainy season which is from December to February) and different areas have different things to offer. If you want a relaxing and spiritual trip then I would recommend spending time in Ubud. Seminyak is a more commercial area, but there are so many cute local restaurants to choose from and the shopping is great., so it’s also certainly worth a visit. Jimbaran Bay is known for its seafood and Nasu Dua has a fantastic variety of resorts to choose from. I like to explore different areas of Bali so I tend to stay in two or three different places every time I visit.

How to get there: Singapore Airlines (you can take a flight from Dubai to Singapore then Singapore to Denpasar). I checked all flights and Singapore Airlines had the best layover time, price and over-all travel time.

Vancouver: I am a bit biased as I grew up in Vancouver but it really is a beautiful city. You have the mountains, ocean and city life all in one place and plenty of activities/things to see and do. The food is absolutely amazing (especially the sushi) and that to me is one of the most important things. If you like the outdoors then you will love it there. You can go hiking, water rafting, kayaking, and cycling. The shopping is great and the weather in the summer is beautiful. It doesn’t rain as much as the rest of the year, which is great.

How to get there: Emirates Airlines (they fly direct from Dubai to Seattle then you take a short flight from Seattle to Vancouver). You can also fly to Seattle then drive for 2.5 hrs to Vancouver.

New York: I’ve been to New York so many times and I can’t get enough of it! I love food and that’s probably one of the main reasons why I love visiting this buzzing city so much! I also love that I can walk all day and if I get tired I can just rent a bike on the way. There are so many things to do and places to explore. Needless to say that the shopping is amazing and the options are endless. It can get a little hot during the summer but if you can handle the heat then I would certainly recommend it as a place to visit this summer.

  • This is for those who give everything they’ve got to make their lives as beautiful as their dreams... and for the friends who stick... for what’s real and what's not...
You will find them in the little things... and little moments. Now more than ever.
That's when you know 💫
Happy Palm Sunday 🙂
  • Woke up this morning feeling a sudden disconnection.
There’s power in disconnection.
When you separate yourself from the world for a while, you’ll figure out what’s feeding ur soul, what’s entertaining ur ego, what’s nothing but a distraction... and then you find exactly where your alignment is.
  • Happy whatever f**** day it is 🤷‍♀️
  • Someone said to me “The strong woman you are becoming will cost you people, relationships, spaces, outings and material things. Always choose her over everything!” And so, I did. 💫
  • I’ve always thought you should be able to freeze time... This way you could hit the pause button at a really good point in your life so that nothing changes.
Being in the Arctic. Pause.
Happy Sunday 💫
  • I read something today that says “what you hide in your heart... shows in your eyes” and I smiled. I’m counting down the days to be able to say, we made it through the storm.
I’m optimistic about our future and the future of our business... and pray we all find that place of peace where the chaos inside of us is understood... Whoever you are, wherever you are.

  • In the midst of chaos with what’s happening around the world, I hope you always find the courage to keep living and love deeply in a world that is slowly failing to do so... 💫
  • Before taking off on our TJD series, I got the chance to enjoy a family break at Zaya Nurai thanks to @experiencemuse. MUSE had curated this bespoke experience, knowing that part of unwinding for me, is spending quality time with my family. Can’t wait to meet our new guest travelers in Finland! #experienceMUSE
  • “The question is not how to get cured, but how to live... for she was always fighting a battle but her smile would never tell you so... and that’s how she created Neverland”
  • ‘When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes.
When you get photograph people in black and white, you photograph their soul’

Probably will delete this... but for now... I’m loving it.
  • What makes you happy? They say that every time you are happy, you are on your path. So be aware of the moments where you feel the most happiest... and hold on to it 💫
  • Shoutout to all the shy, introverted, empathic, social awkward souls who are pushing past their comfort zone to share love with the world and detaching themselves from fearful thoughts and using their energy to believe instead of worrying. 👊🏻
