4 City Hotels In Europe For The SummerLike0

“Summer, after all, is a time when wonderful things can happen to so many. For those few months, you’re not required to be who everyone thinks you are, and that cut-grass smell in the air and the chance to dive into the deep end of a pool give you a courage you don’t have the rest of the year. You can be grateful and easy, with no eyes on you, and no past. summer just opens the door and lets you out.”

Here are only a few of our favorite new hotels for this summer…Part one.

URSO – Madrid Spain

Opening in August 2014, URSO is where the old and new Madrid meet… In the centre of the city, away from the well-trodden tourist areas, URSO is set in a palatial 19th Century building, with 78 rooms and suites and room service will include delicacies from neighbouring shops. URSO’s bakery will be supplied by one of the oldest bakers in town, cold cuts and Iberico ham will be served straight from the market opposite the hotel and a local pastry shop dating from 1914 will supply cakes and other delicacies.

Average time from Dubai by plane: Approximately 7.5 hours

Waldorf Astoria – Amsterdam

Average time from Dubai by plane: 7 hours

How to get there: Emirates Airlines, KLM and Etihad airways fly directly.

Opened only recently and set on the banks of Amsterdam’s grandest canal, the Herengracht (‘gentleman’s canal’). This luxury stunner is on our bucket list and very excited to be hopefully visiting it very soon!

Courtyard Garden Hotel Exterior

Park Hyatt – Austria

Average time from Dubai: 6 hours

How to get there: Almost all airlines in Dubai fly to Vienna.

Situated in Vienna’s new pedestrian Goldenes Quartier and on the Am Hof square, Park Hyatt Vienna occupies a 100-year-old building that formerly served as the headquarters of the Austrian Hungarian Monarchy Bank and forms part of Vienna’s First District which is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Located in the heart of the most exclusive shopping district in Vienna.

Double Tree By Hilton – Tower of London, United Kingdom

Average Time from Dubai: 7 hours

How to get there: Fly to London from Dubai via Emirates Airlines/Qantas Air or British Airways. If you are driving from the Airport, it will take approximately 1 hour to get to the hotel. If you are taking the Tube, your closest station is Tower Hill station via High Street Ken.

It’s a great hotel to stay in for touring London, Tower of London, River Thames and St.Paul’s cathedral and being in the city and few minutes walk (3 minutes) to the tube station. And you get to get the notorious Double Tree Cookie at check in!
