Latest Destination

I won a travel contest that was organized by Austrian Airlines, and they sent me to Miami. The most exciting thing is that I travelled in the first flight that Austrian Airlines flew to Miami, so it’s safe to say that I was in a flight that will be part of the history of the airline company. When we arrived at the airport of Miami, we had some kind of baptism. There were people throwing water to the airplane. It was the first time that I experienced something like that. What a nice memory.

Hotel Stayed in

I stayed at the Aloft south Beach

I loved that hotel for many reasons. It was situated in South Beach Miami where is the best area to stay if you are in Miami. My only “little disappointment” is that the hotel wasn’t exactly situated at the beach so the rooms didn’t have view to the ocean, while many other hotels in that area have. However, like I said, I loved the hotel because I felt very comfortable, the room was very nice and clean and the people at the reception were young, always very kind and ready to help with everything. I knew I loved it because I was sad that I had to leave it.

I didn’t have any lunch/dinner at the hotel because I was always eating outside. I don’t even think that there was a restaurant inside the hotel but there is one right next to it. Besides, I shouldn’t forget to say that the hotel offers pink bicycles for free and you could keep it as long as you like, even the whole day. You just have to sign a paper that you took the bicycle and they give you a lock.

A Diary in Miami

I was waking up in the morning; i was taking my bicycle and was cycling around South Beach Miami. Although I travelled alone to Miami, I was never alone. I liked that I had some time for my self during the day to take the photos that I wanted to take and in the evening I was catching up with other bloggers and Instagrammers in Miami.

If you plan to travel to Miami you shouldn’t miss:

  • vizkaya museum and garden
  • drink coconut
  • Visiting the rooftop bar of 1hotelsouthbeach
  • Having Cuban coffee at Little Havana art district
  • Having an aerial tour above Miami with a helicopter.
  • Go on a boat cruise to the islands.

What to pack

Considering the fact that it’s always summer in Miami, I guess, people should pack summer clothes, comfortable shoes and shouldn’t forget their swimsuit. Besides, they should also pack a raincoat or an umbrella in case it rains.

Top 5 restaurants in Miami

Best time to visit Miami

I asked many Miami residents and everybody said that the best time to go is between October and April. This is because during the summer it’s extremely hot there, so I guess you want to avoid the scorcher.

Top 3 Important tips when traveling to Miami

  1. Find a hotel in South Beach Miami.
  2. Don’t go swimming if it’s too windy. The waves are too strong and it might be dangerous.
  3. Use Uber. It’s cheaper that taxi.

I wrote a special blog post about Miami travel tips here

“What inspired me the most was the American mentality and that everything was so different than in Vienna: the language, currency, weather, people, landscape, architecture, everything! I liked very much the fact that I was far away from Europe and that nobody knows me. That always fascinates me.”

  • I miss you with all my heart and soul...
  • A year ago I was having breakfast with those beautiful giants. An unforgettable experience. Thank you all for your beautiful comments on my previous post 💕
  • I struggled to choose a caption for this image because they say that you are what you share on social media, and so, I wanted to make it count.
Being a 'blogger' or a 'traveler' has changed significantly over the past few years. You can’t go on Instagram without stumbling upon hundreds of carefully selected, beautifully crafted images.
The truth is, today, things are not the same as they used to be. Travel has changed and grown. The internet has given us a chance to see the world through people's eyes and to dream of places many of us never even knew existed.
But social media has also changed travel and the nature of blogging. Sharing my travel online has today somewhat been a constant pressure and the staging of every single photo has become the business of every instagrammer.
I have felt the pressure of keeping up and carefully selecting what I chose to share.
I've even promised myself that I would be a leader, not a follower, and stay far away from online traveling trends that would warp my ability to offer my readers the very best & honest tips and insider reports.
The key...is confidence... I had the chance to make every possible mistake and figure out a way to always recover from it. Once you realize that there is life after a mistake, you gain your confidence and that, never goes away,
It goes straight to the heart and once you have that, no one and nothing can take that away from you . . I hope I’ll always have the courage to live a life that’s true to who I am and not the life that others expect of me... 💕[Click link in bio to read the full article] 💕.
