An Instagrammer in London By Holly Cato
I met Holly Cato during my days in London. Holly is a freelance photographer heavily influenced by the people she meets on her daily excursions of London. Making it her mission to pick up an SLR camera and capture street portraits, her photography journey started from humble beginnings using her iPhone camera. Follow her [here] and [here]
London is my playground. Having lived out of the city for three years, coming back gave me a newfound appreciation of this place I call home. Sure London has history in abundance, world famous landmarks and is known for its wet weather, but for me London is amazing because of the interactions I have with people. My iPhone allows me to capture intimate moments without being invasive. It’s also been the perfect tool because I’m never without my phone even if I fail to carry a large heavy camera. I don’t have a favourite place in London, more like favourite moments that have stuck in my mind, like the soft light the shines through the double height palatial windows of the Great Hall in Greenwhich. Or watching a child play with Seagulls in Westminster, Slick city workers walking through fog in London Bridge or exploring rooftops in East London.
