You can never get bored of London.

London is a city within a city, within a city. Every corner has its own charm and every little street has a façade of what real history means. The red blocks of the 18th century architecture rules the vibes of the city with the constant reminder that once upon a time, people fought here from their freedom. A reminder of tales and enchanted  stories that all started right here.

London is charming and when you get to know the little towns within the city, you realize that it is almost like a different chapter of a book.

On this trip, I got to learn more about Knightsbridge, the history and the neighbors.

I stayed at The Park Tower Knightsbridge, part of The Luxury Collection, a little walk to the tube station, a stone throw away from all the little gems in the city especially the shopping district where Harvey Nichols is at its doorstep and with exceptional kind and generous service from the staff. The hotel has breathtaking views of the city of London where I can see Hyde Park on my left, Big Big Ben and The London Eye right in front of me and on the left was the city from my 2 bedroom penthouse suite, possibly the largest in town, with a remarkable marble bathroom with a en suite bathtub facing the vibrant city! Being enrolled with the SPG loyalty program, I was entitled to complimentary upgrades amongst many other benefits. You can enroll here: https://www.spgpromos.com/stayconnected/

A walk in Hyde Park with Miguel, the head concierge at The Park Tower Knightsbridge, and you will have your mind blown away by all the history lessons you wish you never missed in class. Miguel spoke of how Knightsbridge became alive before being an island on its own, away from the city. I was told on the two knights with heavy armor that drowned fighting on the bridge that makes up today how Knightsbridge got its name.

STAYING AT THE PARK TOWER

One early morning, while having eggs for breakfast right across the corner, I met a lady walking her dog and she explained to me how everyone supports each other in this neighborhood. I started to understand then how The Park Tower Knightsbridge was also contributing to this by supporting candle legend Rachel Vosper. Inside my (two bedroom penthouse) Suite, I had candles from Rachel Vosper and around the hotel, her candle scent burns. My wonderful butler had left me every morning chocolates from Rococo and ofcourse, a Harvey Nichols bag from Mona with all their wonderful gift items from….

Thanks to Miguel and his team, and the wonderful team at the hotel, I got to learn more about Knightsbridge and discovered little gems this town has to offer and facts such as; Before the transport systems were introduced in the 19th Century, Knightsbridge was renowned as a haunt for highwaymen, robbers and cut-throats, who targeted travellers on the western route out of London!

  • I miss you with all my heart and soul...
  • A year ago I was having breakfast with those beautiful giants. An unforgettable experience. Thank you all for your beautiful comments on my previous post 💕
  • I struggled to choose a caption for this image because they say that you are what you share on social media, and so, I wanted to make it count.
Being a 'blogger' or a 'traveler' has changed significantly over the past few years. You can’t go on Instagram without stumbling upon hundreds of carefully selected, beautifully crafted images.
The truth is, today, things are not the same as they used to be. Travel has changed and grown. The internet has given us a chance to see the world through people's eyes and to dream of places many of us never even knew existed.
But social media has also changed travel and the nature of blogging. Sharing my travel online has today somewhat been a constant pressure and the staging of every single photo has become the business of every instagrammer.
I have felt the pressure of keeping up and carefully selecting what I chose to share.
I've even promised myself that I would be a leader, not a follower, and stay far away from online traveling trends that would warp my ability to offer my readers the very best & honest tips and insider reports.
The key...is confidence... I had the chance to make every possible mistake and figure out a way to always recover from it. Once you realize that there is life after a mistake, you gain your confidence and that, never goes away,
It goes straight to the heart and once you have that, no one and nothing can take that away from you . . I hope I’ll always have the courage to live a life that’s true to who I am and not the life that others expect of me... 💕[Click link in bio to read the full article] 💕.
