Grab a bite in AmsterdamLike0

Why is it that we try and squeeze everything we want to do in our lives in 48 hours, only to leave us exhausted by the end of a trip? This, is something I  can never figure out. I was in Amsterdam for 3 days, then again for 4 days. There was this moment where I looked at my watch and couldn’t believe how much little time I have left before discovering only 20% of the new places. Every year, new places open and every year they get better. I did however forgot to mention this FANTASTIC fish restaurant… apparently it is the oldest one in town. I seem to have left my camera and the name of the place back in Amsterdam. If anyone know where I am talking about then feel free to let me know! All I know is that it’s blue, we had dinner there and it was sublime!

Here are the few places I recommend to Grab a bite in Amsterdam. Summer plans are already in the making, so share your secrets with me!

Pompadour

You could see people looking from the window, drooling and just staring like it’s porn. It is actually. Just food porn. That sounds so vulgar, but I promise you, you will understand why this chocolatier won an award in 2014.

The Dylan Amsterdam Breakfast

I stayed there one night and woke up early specifically to enjoy the healthy breakfast I heard so much about at The Dylan. If you are there in summer, enjoy breakfast outdoors in the historic garden!

Pancakes!

Did you know that King Lodewijk Napoleon Bonaparte (brother of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte) favourite food in Holland was Dutch Pancakes. One of my favorite things to eat too! Pancakes is quite tight, like most fabulous places actually and be prepared to queue up. Serves no take away but has delicious pancakes with raw chocolate and GLUTEN FREE! Loved Pancakes!

Coffee Company

The first Coffee Company opened its doors in 1996. The CC Leidsestraat 60 was born out of love for coffee and Coffee Dicks Ricks love for the “big city ritual that he met in New York and London. The Coffee Company Amsterdam years conquered them with places like the Helst, Haarlemmerdijk, Doelenstraat and Beethoven Street. Coffee Company coffee enticed a new generation of fans with the versatility of coffee in a relaxed environment.

There are now 37 branches in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Groningen, Leiden, Rotterdam and Delft and a distillery / tasting room in Amsterdam. Each with a unique place in the neighborhood. There are regular performances and on the wall place for local designers and artists.

  • I miss you with all my heart and soul...
  • A year ago I was having breakfast with those beautiful giants. An unforgettable experience. Thank you all for your beautiful comments on my previous post 💕
  • I struggled to choose a caption for this image because they say that you are what you share on social media, and so, I wanted to make it count.
Being a 'blogger' or a 'traveler' has changed significantly over the past few years. You can’t go on Instagram without stumbling upon hundreds of carefully selected, beautifully crafted images.
The truth is, today, things are not the same as they used to be. Travel has changed and grown. The internet has given us a chance to see the world through people's eyes and to dream of places many of us never even knew existed.
But social media has also changed travel and the nature of blogging. Sharing my travel online has today somewhat been a constant pressure and the staging of every single photo has become the business of every instagrammer.
I have felt the pressure of keeping up and carefully selecting what I chose to share.
I've even promised myself that I would be a leader, not a follower, and stay far away from online traveling trends that would warp my ability to offer my readers the very best & honest tips and insider reports.
The key...is confidence... I had the chance to make every possible mistake and figure out a way to always recover from it. Once you realize that there is life after a mistake, you gain your confidence and that, never goes away,
It goes straight to the heart and once you have that, no one and nothing can take that away from you . . I hope I’ll always have the courage to live a life that’s true to who I am and not the life that others expect of me... 💕[Click link in bio to read the full article] 💕.
