It does come as a huge suprise when I mentioned to people that I have never been to Siddharta Lounge By Buddha-Bar. I do love to go out at night, but I start my day at 5:30 am and by 7:30 pm, after I miraculously put my daughter to bed, all I can ever think of is a cold shower and having my rose water tea in bed. Nevertheless, it was a special occasion and I decided to break the habit between me and my pjs, got dressed and headed out to dine.
Being a frequent traveler, a mother and a business woman, the only night scene I do get is business meetings or business events, which I absolutely love, but this, was a night out in the middle of the week and it was a special night. In the middle of the busiest city district, Siddharta lounge, on a rooftop, open air, by the pool, deep house music, candles on the floor, on the tables, white and gold decor. We needed a time out, a night in the town. It reminded me of a night out back in Hong Kong. The skyscrapers lit, you can feel the streets being busy but the music washes away the noise. We opted to sit by the pool while the other side of the restaurant serves sheesha.
The food was delicious, infusing Mediterranean and Asian flavors. A perfect location for sunset drinks and bites. Excellent choices of cocktails and recommended for after working hours too if the weather permits and a perfect place to be with friends or a romantic dinner!
