TESTIMONIALS

TJD’s trip to Finland was one of my most memorable trips ever. The richness of the program spanning from dog sleighing to receiving insights to how the indigenous Sami live & treasure their land, was fascinating. The competent, unhurried and loving way Michelle & Dennis managed these 5 days was very impressive. The way they organized four perfectly sunny days remain their well-guarded secret. “

Eduard & Rania, Lebanon

” The best trip ever!! Michelle & Dennis you were the highlight of the trip! It was our first experience to travel with TJD and we were pleasantly surprised with the professionalism, punctuality, dedication and fun spirit throughout the trip. Michelle & Dennis were very knowledgable about the Arctic, the activities and handpicked the itinerary! It was just a perfect vacation. I recommend this trip to everyone! If you ever want to travel hassle free and have the best time of your life just contact TJD. Michelle & Dennis, keep shining! You have put a smile on our faces and we can’t wait for our next TJD trip!  “

” Dear Michelle, I Wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for probably one of the most wonderful trips I’ve ever gone on. Everything was so meticulously organised, the hotels were beautiful, the company was fantastic and the adventures were on another level. I got the chance to do things I’ve always dreamt of doing, especially the husky safari, so thank you for that and for everything. Sending you love and kisses and hope to see you soon.   “

Diala Shuhaiber

” My Latest trip to Finland with TJD was one of the best experiences of my life. It was a mixture of adventure, beauty, fun. The group was incredible and we all quickly became good friends. The subzero temperatures was a challenge but pushed our limits and we did the most amazing activities. I don’t mind not have seen the lights due to weather but my whole arctic experience topped it and I would definitely go back with TJD if she organizes another trip!”

Tamara Antaki

“Our experience with TJD was one of the most memorable and amazing trips for us. Michelle did a great job on what we wanted out of this trip. The accommodation was excellent and everything was done on time. We were fortunate enough to catch the stunning display of the Northern Lights – Something we will never forget! I couldn’t be happier with TJD and would definitely recommend them to all of our friends “

Hannan, UAE

“As someone who always travel solo, this was an incredible experience! The dynamic of the group worked perfectly together! Michelle took really good care of us and Dennis managed to capture all the right moments. The Itinerary was beautifully curated and it definitely exceeded all my expectations. Sleeping in the Aurora cabins, watching the stars at night was truly mind-blowing. I would travel with TJD again in a heartbeat! Thank you guys for really making it a trip of a lifetime!  “

Nahel, Syria

” I never thought of traveling to Finland before but what an awesome and exciting experience it turned out to be! I was mesmerised by the awe-inspiring beauty of the wilderness. Also, I had one of the most exciting times exploring and enjoying the snow activities, my favourite being the husky sledge ride, despite the freezing cold weather! Indeed it was a trip of a lifetime. “

Samar Sadik

” Exploring the wonders of the Arctic has been one of the MOST incredible experiences I’ve had. What struck me the most about this stunning winter wonderland was how utterly peaceful it was. Whilst there are so many exciting things to learn, experience and explore, you can also just disconnect and enjoy the beauty of nature, and be one with your thoughts. Finland has definitely found a place in my heart and I will return soon. If you love pushing your boundaries and are an explorer at heart, then this magical destination is for you.”

Sevan Terzian

“Putting a face and an adventure and a beautiful experience, a one of a kind trip to this idea I had in my mind of you and your work over exceeded my expectations. Please keep doing what you do because you are doing something so awesome. A lot of others are trying to replicate and I have never tried them, but you have this extra everything. The extra touch, the extra deepness that makes everything more personal. Great teamwork  You and Dennis, it’s just the beginning and craziness and fun and love of life will always be by your side”

Joelle, Lebanon

“Sleeping in a glass roofed aurora cabin under a sky full of stars, sitting on the snow and cuddling the huskies, searching-hunting and watching the northern lights …. These were on the top of my bucket list. Finally my dream came true. This was an amazing trip, I absolutely loved it!! I would like to thank the best organizers and I would book with you again and again and again.

Michelle did not only plan the trip but was involved in every single activity and thought of every small details from helping us zipping the snow gear, making sure we ate well, we slept enough, we enjoyed the activity … and stayed awake to make sure we see the aurora! She is so professional, helpful, caring, fun and positive.

Dennis was excellent, full of life and a great motivator. He is very cool, open-minded and he never says No! He would do anything to make us happy.

I highly recommend everyone to travel with TJD!!”

Belle, Lebanon

” I have always been wanting to travel Finland and when you posted about it I directly booked. I had at some point in my life do a trip that took me out of my comfort zone and I actually did. The whole trip was very well organized ,the activities from the shoe-snowing till that husky ride and so on. Even getting good contact with nature at -27. Traveling with strangers is quite challenging , but we made a good team all of us! The flow was good since the beginning , we all made good efforts getting to know each other and I honestly believe new friendships are being built. It wasn’t easy for you but you made everything smooth. I would definitely try a new country again with TJD. Discovering the world is what I want to do. Thank you michelle and I hope we get to fly soon together.”

Meena Mukhi

” I absolutely loved the trip. Well, where do I begin? This trip to winter wonderland with Michelle & Dennis was an incredible experience for me. I had a wonderful time. It was the first time I travel alone and naturally I was reluctant and quite nervous. But almost instantly and before we even boarded our flight from Dubai, 9 stranger travel companions felt like family. Mich not only put together a great itinerary for this full of adventure trip, she also went shopping with me for it. During the trip, she joined on all the activities, watched out for us and took great photos of all of us. She made us all feel like family. Dennis was absolutely amazing, full of life and enthusiasm, he taught us many photography tricks and helped us take great shots of the trip. Not only did this trip put me out of my comfort zone, it awakened the adventurous spirit in me. I would travel with this same bunch anywhere, anytime and am sure I’ll always feel at home.”

Lamya

“Travel with TJD was extraordinary! An intimate travel experience where you get to meet the people from different walks of life, share lots of laughs and allows you to participate in activities you never dreamed of before. Most of all, the bond created within the group during the trip is a memory of a lifetime”

Tammy Gan, Singapore

“Overall it was an amazing experience! At first I was not sure about the two boats instead of one, but honestly, it really worked out for the best and I genuinely loved the catamaran experience and visiting the island and seeing the stars at sea the most. I could have definitely done it for a few more nights even!! I think, I’m discovering a new passion with the whole sailing, it was really great that I got to learn and assist with some of it, gave me such a buzz! I also loved the reindeer and learning about the Sami culture and the ‘YOIK’ “

Mona, London

Lovely Michelle,
Never would I have thought I would go on a group trip. Nor, did I expect that this would be one of the best trips I have done so far. This trip has exceeded my expectations and was beyond unforgettable! Your enthusiasm, positive energy, efforts and care before within and even after the trip, have made a massive impact on everyone and have been an inspiration to me on a personal level. You really put your heart and soul in to what you do and have shown that you CAN make your dreams come true and that makes me chase mine! Also, not to forget the incredible selection of the guests. I made some amazing friends through this amazing little journey and we all shared an unforgettable experience. As you kept saying “It’s an experience” and I would recommend everyone to experience a TJD trip themselves! Keep shining! Much love “

Ahlam, Dubai

“Thank you so much for having me and giving people new realities as you say! Living your dream! You see incredible in others because of who you are yourself, so we are so incredible, changing other people’s world, each one of us in our own special way! Thank you! Love you! “

Martina, Spain

“Having traveled a lot and to so many destinations, we tend to under-estimate the efforts put in creating such an experience that includes so many unusual activities in the wilderness! It was not just another trip for me , it turned out to be “THE TRIP” that was incredibly fun, healing, life changing and created so many memories I will forever cherish

TJD did an incredibly beautiful job in well organizing way in advance every single detail. The genuine love and care put in this experience is noticeable and you can feel the passion for it! I wouldn’t have done it without Michelle who is the mastermind behind every single detail, activity, experience. I will definitely do it again and highly recommend TJD to organize this for you, if you are up to an unforgettable experience!

Thank you TJD team, Michelle in particular for being simply wonderful!”

Solange, Beirut

“Michelle, you were a stranger who turned into a friend, a sister, you had us experience a magical trip, you made us laugh & smile and made us cry at the end of the journey from sadness that it’s over but happiness that it happened. (It’s complicated as Joelle would say)!! Besides that you were professional, very well organized, take care of every single little detail so we felt 100% relaxed in the best hands ever!! We love you both and surely will do this again! Dennis, we wouldn’t have done it without you my friend, You are incredibly amazing & enjoyable and not to mention so patient to keep up with a crazy crowd like us! Thank you for everything! “

  • Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago between mainland Norway and the North Pole. The archipelago is composed of nine main islands.
We visited Pyramiden, 2 hours by boat from longyearbyen, and known as a Soviet Ghost Town, an abandoned Russians coal mine settlement sold to the Soviet Union back in 1927. When we arrived, they told us that they have seen few polar bears around and so had to stay close.
Barentsburg, the second largest settlement in Svalbard with about 450 inhabitants, mostly, also, Russians... Some of the other islands have amongst scientist and researchers. Needless to say, Longyearbyen is the northernmost capital on earth.
I also want to thank the team at @arcticexpedition.no who were so incredible with us, it wouldn’t have been the same without them, despite me being a little afraid of walking out, they assured our safety ☺️ Make sure you join us on our next @travelwithtjd in May to Svalbard once again!#TravelwithTJD
  • With thousands of years of history frozen in time, the Arctic, for me, is as a place where we can freeze our former selves and visualize what we can achieve what’s found in stories, books and inspiring people that made it this far.
It’s just you, the land, and your thoughts, and you can't leave until you've wrestled with yourself and emerged a survivor.
But then again, the light is much more intense up here and everything looks different because of it. The sun hasn’t set in a couple of months, and you can see things much more clearly when it is light all of the time.
I’m addicted to the Arctic, it has been so for the past two years as @dennisstever and I set a mission to work together to conquer it on @travelwithTJD
Thanks to @dennisstever for capturing this moment.
Thank you to the wonderful team @arcticexpedition.no for making this a memorable experience ❤️
  • Im at the Earth’s northernmost inhabited settlement and I made this happen!!
A Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. Svalbard is home to the ‘King of the Arctic’, which is the Polar Bear, followed by whales, Arctic Fox, Birds, Seals, Walrus and Reindeers. Svalbard is 600 miles away from the North Pole, the farthest place on earth I have ever been. This is not a dream...I created this beautiful reality. #TravelwithTJD @travelwithtjd @visitsvalbard
  • I’m not sure I can’t explain in words exactly how I felt at that moment. Right, scratch that... I can, because I froze.
In so many ways.
Ive always felt that my moods could be best explained in photos (and music) and that’s why I’m drawn to photography because it allows me to portray what’s going on inside when words fail.
@dennisstever and I spent a week in Finland for the midnight sun, exploring the summer season. He probably took a thousand shots of this moment and encouraged me to keep going despite the cold waves splashing on me.
But, I’m thankful, because, after a while, the cold numbed me, so I caught my breath, looked around and realized how F*** amazing it is to feel alive!
  • Often, I am noticing more and more on social media highlighting what society identifies as their body flaws and how we are beautiful and ordinary because of it, categorizing it as ‘empowerment’. I’m all for positivity but, I feel it’s giving mixed signals and it’s becoming repetitive, focusing on body goals. Again.
Loving yourself, or accepting yourself doesn’t start with just accepting your body or its ‘flaws’, that’s not how we become ‘ordinary’, and the constant focus on bodies is directing the false message, denoting how our looks comes first and preaching about it (constantly)is not ordinary.
Whatever happened to beauty from within? Or education?
Are we truly loving ourselves if we put our body ‘flaws’ constantly out there on social media waiting again, for others to approve and congratulate you?
Is that not just promoting more “What’s on the outside counts more than what’s on the inside?”
Acceptance and beauty is deeper than that, because, surely, a body’s ‘ordinary’ image, is not solely what we should or should not be celebrating.
Imperfections comes from the inside... Our actions, reactions, our weaknesses, strengths, our challenges and triumphs, our anxieties.
Loving oneself is accepting our heart and mind’s inability to function today but still give tomorrow another chance.
We are beautiful for how we make others feel, for being there for one another, for lifting each other, for forgiving, for loyalty, for being there for your children, for your family, for strangers and for those around you and definitely not because we have or have not accepted our bodies and those around us.
Whoever you are... our ‘imperfections’ in our souls are what makes ordinary and learning to accept it, is what makes you beautiful, and that is what we need to be sharing.
So let’s highlight what’s on the inside, instead of just purely focusing on the outside. Because, that’s the only way we can truly love ourself, and not by perfect or imperfect bodies.
  • Not your typical photos on my feed... but, why not? I’ve been feeling lately a little uninspired to pick up my camera the past 2 months, so, I didn’t force it, and yesterday, I finally did.
My collection of images posted on Instagram, are spontaneous memories of living through joy, love, passion, achievements, sadness and struggles.
My journey, my soul and those in my life, expressed in words and photography.
I shoot for what is important for me and not for what is expected of me. I post when I want to, and not when a schedule says it’s time to.
I might have fewer ‘likes’ on some images than others and I’m not consumed by it because my reality is keeping me ‘disconnected’ from social media ... In my real world, I have those around me who make me love with every heart beat, laugh till my stomach hurts and lift me up till my hands touch the sky.
My intentions is to always stay true to myself first, to my passion, to my photography. I believe that’s the only way one can create something extraordinary. Thank you for all the support throughout the years, or if you have just followed... thank you for your messages and your words of encouragement. 💫
  • Home at Beit Douma, this is how a traditional restored 19th century Lebanese mountain home looks like from the inside. Douma is one of the best-preserved villages in Lebanon, lies at an altitude of over 1000 meters. The name in Phoenician means “calm and rest”, in Greek it means “house”. 🇱🇧 #Home
  • I believe in giving people time...Time to process the good and the bad because there is something so beautiful about unforced bonds.
I’m a forever kind of person. I don’t have room for temporary. I believe in big love, of growing old with your friends and soulmates. I believe in being there for people through thick and thin. I believe in not giving up when things get tough. I believe in relationships that can make it through everything... 💫
  • Will probably delete this later but just couldn’t NOT post this video! I’ve always dreamed raising a golden retriever since I was a little girl, and in February, it became a reality. This was Charlie at 3 months and slide over the photo number 2, today at 8 months. 2 more weeks and I’ll be back with him!!! Share your advices on raising a Golden ❤️ I would love to hear your experiences.
  • I read once that some people have the ability to magnetize the people they need to help push them even further into greatness. Some take them for granted, some don't see it because they are too blind. But for those who can see it, be grateful for it, because even if you think you don't need them, one day you might understand the chemistry 💕
  • Bird’s eye view from @joalimaldives
I can never get bored of this view! 😍
