Around Dubai

The new Burj Al Arab Terrace

Sundowners at luna sky bar

The new boutique Four Seasons Hotel DIFC, at LUNA SKY BAR lounge offering wonderful cocktails and light bites. Although summer has creeped up in Dubai, they do have an indoor lounge area.

Best Asian Fusion

Wakame in Sofitel Downtown, still as strong as ever. This time, we even tried the famous burger sliders and dumplings. Highly recommended, one of my favorite places to dine in Dubai.

Top Chef Dubai

Whether it’s a “Culinary Art” A “Chef To Be” An “Escape to Thailand” class A “Journey to Mexico” or a “Mini Chef” class even a summer kids camp, it’s a guarantee day of fun and learning at Top Chef Dubai My daughter and I loved every minute and best part about it… we got to eat it all! Hats off to the wonderful chef Christina who made the whole experience great fun and allowed us to sneak in some chocolate while we cooked!

Europe

All your life you’re yellow. Then one day you brush up against something blue, the barest touch, and voila, the rest of your life you’re green. That’s what life changing experience does.

This month, we picked Florence. Especially for a first timer. It has some sort of magic to it especially after seeing it from Piazzale Michelangelo. You can find so many articles here on places to dine in Florence and here on things to do in Florence

Family Destinations

Croatia

We are sticking to islands and water this summer! Croatia. Build sandcastles all day on any island, take up water activities, soak in the sun. Whatever you do in Croatia, know that it is laid back, easy and make sure you try the photo jeep safari, zip lining and snorkeling! Kids will LOVE it!

Bali, Indonesia

FAQ: Is Bali family friendly?! Answer is YES! What more that natural waterfalls, beach, great food and fantastic hotels that have great activities and kids centers! You can read more on our stay at Four Seasons Bali and The Ritz-Carlton Bali.

Costa Brava, Spain

You will fall in love with Costa Brava! Take a boat of L’Estartit, and over to the Medes Islands where a sanctuary of birds and animal live there. Spend the full day at the beach, snorkel and go on beautiful boat rides!

Travel Essentials

The new LG 5 – I found out it has a 360 CAM, which records 360-degree photos and videos for a virtual reality experience! Definitely using this one on our next trip!!

Rae Feathers, The ultimate in beach chic. W 64cm x D 36cm Handmade Palm Straw 100% Leather Handles and found in Harvey Nichols

Clinique has the smallest make up remover bottle I have seen that has a security cap so it won’t leak when you travel! Absolutely loved that and its TINY! My travel essential! Found in Bloomingdales

Clarins SunKissed Summer Collection – They are not kidding when they say waterproof and it won’t crease! The best way to remove it is with oil make up remover. Just beautiful for the beach.

RIMOWA – The heroes of all travel essentials. RIMOWA Limbo made in Germany.

You know those long flights or any flight actually, when at the end of it, your make up slides off your face? Even the slightest? Tadddaaaa…. I found a solution to make THAT stop! Thank you Benefit Cosmetics!

Estee Lauder’s new lip potion, pure color envy, launched last month and I got my hands on it and loved it most of all because it lasted up to 8 hours! Inside info: Oil elixir-infused formula is infused with avocado, jojoba and sunflower oils.

  • Maldives, you are my favorite distraction 🐠
  • I found a little Tuscany in Dubai!! On small roads in the countryside in Val d’Orcia, sunflowers bloom in summer and it gives you a sense of happiness. On my hunt for inspiration of Italy in the UAE, I found a little bit of Tuscany and happiness in Dubai🌻

  • Back in the desert 🐫 and I think summer just kicked in 🤷🏼‍♀️
  • I woke up right here on my back way from Voss to Oslo. 350 metres above Oslo city and right in Nordmarka forest🌳
  • I could be staring at the same mountains that loomed over passing Vikings and I’m in love... Wouldn’t you be?
  • From Oslo, I took the NSB train to Myrdal which is a 5 hour journey, then boarded the Flåm Railway, named by @natgeotravel one of the most beautiful train journey in Europe taking you through west Norway’s most beautiful scenery. Here we stopped for 10 minutes to step out of the railway for pictures. Can you see Chloè by the window too? ☺️
  • The sun doesn’t rise till around 9am, so it gave me a lot of time to sleep in. Flåm is a small village in southwestern Norway, in an area known for its fjords. It sits at the end of Aurlandsfjord. It’s peaceful, its historical, it’s quiet and it’s not a place you will find all over social media. I found these little red cabins while walking around the small village trying not to slip on the ice that covers the road! I did though, I slipped, laughed got bruised and luckily my camera didn’t fall into the water... but it was so close!
  • I’ve found Kattegat ♥️
  • I was always in a hurry to be someone, always in a hurry to become something and do everything. I didn’t waste my time on things or people that would get me nowhere. I crave a slow life, a simple life filled with adventures. No fast cars or expensive homes and for almost all my life, I’ve built a life in which I never needed to escape from. This is my beautiful reality and this photo represents that to me.
  • I was thinking of a caption that can relate to what I was thinking... but the truth is, simple... I was thinking of absolutely nothing at all... just the fact that I was waking up in the middle of a frozen sea. ♥️
  • Gelato for breakfast and it’s melting!! An obvious one ofcourse 😊 That was my next hunt for ‘inspiration in finding a little bit of Italy in the UAE’ project with @theitalianwayuae How many times a day would you have Gelato in Italy? For me, it was around 4-5!! #TheItalianWay
  • I have tremendous respect and admiration for people who are authentic and those who always recognize the people who help them during their journey... let’s try not to forget these people. Happy Sunday!
