Travel Winter Fashion Essentials

I’m definitely a winter person. In fact, I believe that we can have more wardrobe fun during the cooler months; especially with layering. It’s all about finding the right outfit ideas that will have you looking fashionable yet help you feel warm all season long. The most important thing about learning to layer is getting a very good handle on the must-haves of the season. From the perfect cozy knit to the slouchy leather pants to the oversize coat and more, let’s go through the top 5 essentials of the season. These will take your layered looks to the next level.

1.    The Perfect Knit: While knitwear could seem like less than a fashion trend and more like a wardrobe staple, it’s important to know how to style your knits to ensure you wear them with style. For a modern and minimalist look, you could style your over-sized white knit with wide-leg trousers and heeled ankle boots. For a more colorful look, you could go for a jewel-tone (emerald for example) knit jumper and wear it with your favorite skinny jeans and a huge scarf. You can basically pull it off with everything you’ve got hiding your closets!

2.    The Slouchy Leather Pants: all rules have changed! Forget about the super tight leather pants, this season, it’s all about the comfortable, loose and sporty leather pants. I love styling them with black heels, a simple top/black polo neck, a tailored blazer and minimal jewelry. It’s all about keeping the androgynous orientation.

3.    The Oversized Coat: these coats are on the rise! While they’ve been in trend for a while already, this winter, these jackets looks slightly more fitted. When styling yours, make sure to keep the rest of your outfit fitted, play with proportions and style it with shorts or little skirts, wear heels to lengthen your silhouette and add statement accessories.

4.    The Beanie: definitely the coolest thing you can wear this winter. While it stayed for years the item that children despised wearing at school, it’s now the hit item. It’s just perfect how fashion keeps on turning towards comfortable, “keeping-us-warm” trends.

5.    The Flat Ankle Boots: whatever your style, there will always be a pair you love. They’re a necessity for any winter wardrobe and this season, they’re definitely looking better than ever. Wear them to work or dress up your weekend looks, they’re just so stylish and versatile.

Enjoy embracing this winter season with style, comfort and enough confidence to step out your house feeling ready to rock the world.

First of all, I want to say that I really love your blog so far. I’ve always wanted to start a blog but I’ve never known how. I am afraid of taking risks, but you are so generous in your tips and guidance that I’ve finally taken up the courage to seriously put my foot in the business world. My biggest struggle is fear that I won’t have good content and I won’t be successful. But I’ll overcome it. I have a real passion for helping people and I think that will really drive me to do my best. I’m really shy, but I can open up with kind and genuine people. Thank you for being just that.

  • Soooo... Weekends in Dubai has resulted at the beach since summer has kicked in!! Here is one of my favorite barefoot lunch spots ❤️ Have you been here?
  • Maldives, you are my favorite distraction 🐠
  • I found a little Tuscany in Dubai!! On small roads in the countryside in Val d’Orcia, sunflowers bloom in summer and it gives you a sense of happiness. On my hunt for inspiration of Italy in the UAE, I found a little bit of Tuscany and happiness in Dubai🌻

  • Back in the desert 🐫 and I think summer just kicked in 🤷🏼‍♀️
  • I woke up right here on my back way from Voss to Oslo. 350 metres above Oslo city and right in Nordmarka forest🌳
  • I could be staring at the same mountains that loomed over passing Vikings and I’m in love... Wouldn’t you be?
  • From Oslo, I took the NSB train to Myrdal which is a 5 hour journey, then boarded the Flåm Railway, named by @natgeotravel one of the most beautiful train journey in Europe taking you through west Norway’s most beautiful scenery. Here we stopped for 10 minutes to step out of the railway for pictures. Can you see Chloè by the window too? ☺️
  • The sun doesn’t rise till around 9am, so it gave me a lot of time to sleep in. Flåm is a small village in southwestern Norway, in an area known for its fjords. It sits at the end of Aurlandsfjord. It’s peaceful, its historical, it’s quiet and it’s not a place you will find all over social media. I found these little red cabins while walking around the small village trying not to slip on the ice that covers the road! I did though, I slipped, laughed got bruised and luckily my camera didn’t fall into the water... but it was so close!
  • I’ve found Kattegat ♥️
  • I was always in a hurry to be someone, always in a hurry to become something and do everything. I didn’t waste my time on things or people that would get me nowhere. I crave a slow life, a simple life filled with adventures. No fast cars or expensive homes and for almost all my life, I’ve built a life in which I never needed to escape from. This is my beautiful reality and this photo represents that to me.
  • I was thinking of a caption that can relate to what I was thinking... but the truth is, simple... I was thinking of absolutely nothing at all... just the fact that I was waking up in the middle of a frozen sea. ♥️
  • Gelato for breakfast and it’s melting!! An obvious one ofcourse 😊 That was my next hunt for ‘inspiration in finding a little bit of Italy in the UAE’ project with @theitalianwayuae How many times a day would you have Gelato in Italy? For me, it was around 4-5!! #TheItalianWay
