Travel Junkie Diary Recommends

Here we are!! We finally made it to this section! Part of our promise for 2016 is to always keep TJD site exciting and new! So, we decided to start a monthly section of Travel Junkie Diary recommended! Meaning, throughout all our travels, dining, spas and shopping for souvenirs, there will be many categories but only one recommendation. A lot of work and thoughts would be going into picking that one selected entity. But, we promised the best and so, you get the best! I am super excited for this, of course, all your tips are always welcome right here!

If you think we need to add a certain category that we might be missing then just let us know by email or comment below!

Here is February’s Travel Junkie Diary Recommended!

Enjoy it!

Around UAE - Dubai's Friday Brunch

This month was a month filled with wonderful Friday brunches with the outdoor weather being just perfect in Dubai. This month, our favorite outdoor brunch is at Le Meridien Resort & Spa at the Mexican restaurant, Maya Dubai.

Our favorite indoor this month is the legendary Toro Toro at Grosvenor house in Jumeirah.

Fridays 12.30 – 4pm
AED 500 per person incl. selective beverages
AED 350 per person incl. soft drinks

Wellness Travel - Yoga Retreat in Vietnam

This month’s Yoga retreat is in Six Senses Nihn Van Bay! Book your separate Yoga and wellness package of 3,5,7 or 10 nights in Vietnam. It took courage to book a 4 day retreat last month in Vietnam, one of my favorite places in Asia

Gourmet Travel - Dine in Bali

One of the greatest places to eat in Bali for this month, Travel Junkie Diary recommends the fabulous signature Indonesian restaurant, Bejana at The Ritz Carlton in Bali. Sit indoor or outdoor whatever you prefer and be prepared to fall in love with the culinary heritage of Indonesia. Make sure you also try Samba Udang!

Fly to Ho Chi Minh City, you might probably need to stay one night there depending on your arrival time. Then fly with Vietnam Airlines to Nha Trang. Your pick up from the hotel will be ready at the airport to transport you to the docks to take the speed boat to the resort

Beach Travel - Soak up The Sun

Soak up the sun in Bali at our favorite place at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, at Sundara Beach Club. A beautiful beach club by day and a breathtaking sunset experience with Liam Nealon as Chef de Cuisine.

Open daily from 11:00 am – 01:00am

Make sure you book your cabana or table ahead of time

Open to walk-ins

Around Dubai - Dine in Dubai with Celebrity Chef

The new restaurant in Dubai by (the ex chef of Zuma) Reif Othman. We tried almost everything on the menu, especially the rock shrimp risotto and the  black cod which was one of our favorites! Play lounge and restaurant is on our list for Travel Junkie Diary Recommends.

Play Restaurant and Lounge at H Hotel

Around Dubai - Cocktail from Beirut to Dubai

One of Beirut’s restaurant is in Dubai brought to you by Gaucho is on our list for Travel Junkie Diary Recommends. Great atmosphere, great music and a great kitchen. It’s also as if a little bit of Lebanon’s soul is in there.

Indie Kitchen and Lounge is open in DIFC gate 2

Africa - Stay Central in Zanzibar

Centrally located in Stone Town, we found that Park Hyatt is just perfect if you are looking to be close to the touristic places! A beautiful property by the water and is walking distance to almost everything in Stone Town. Travel Junkie Diary Recommends!

Park Hyatt Zanzibar  | 00 255 24 550 1234 | Mambo Msiige | Shangani Street, Stone Town, Zanzibar City, Tanzania

Maldives with Children

Conrad Rangali Island is one of the greatest places we’ve been to in Maldives. What’s even better, is their Kid’s Club and activity which offers daily programs and activities for the little ones, in house medical care and babysitting services! Open from 8:30am to 7:00pm daily! A 30 minute sea plane ride and one of the most breathtaking properties in Maldives!

Oman with Children

When you’re stuck, Oman is always a good idea! Especially if it is at Six Senses Zighy Bay! Chaica’s, the kids’ club for four-to-12-year-olds will take the kids on a sunset cruise, cinema screening, adventure hikes and all sorts of activities! The children Club – Chaica’s Club 4 – 10 years while the Teen Club – al Feetean’s Club 11 – 18 years!

Best City in The World

Nominated as the best city in the world to live in and in our opinion, it is so true! Vienna has been on the top of our list since 2015 and have been there numerous times in just one year! Stay at the luxurious Ritz- Carlton in Vienna and it will change the way luxury denotes. One of our greatest memories is at The Ritz- Carlton with the wonderful team that makes this property extremely unique in every way! The Ritz Carlton also partnered up with Travel Junkie Diary in December for the 3rd edition of #TravelwithTJD and we were thrilled to be part of the social media campaign.

Caribbean - Jam it in Jamaica

In the land where everything is irie (the emotional state of feeling great), Jamaica is one of those destinations that you can never get enough of. From the reggae street music, to the island adventures and most importantly, their famous jerk chicken! We spent a month in Jamaica, island hopping and driving along the coast. Our favorite place to stay was a boutique hotel named GeeJam where life was always irie!! Travel Junkie Diary recommends! Make sure you stay at the Drum & Base room.

  • I miss you with all my heart and soul...
  • A year ago I was having breakfast with those beautiful giants. An unforgettable experience. Thank you all for your beautiful comments on my previous post 💕
  • I struggled to choose a caption for this image because they say that you are what you share on social media, and so, I wanted to make it count.
Being a 'blogger' or a 'traveler' has changed significantly over the past few years. You can’t go on Instagram without stumbling upon hundreds of carefully selected, beautifully crafted images.
The truth is, today, things are not the same as they used to be. Travel has changed and grown. The internet has given us a chance to see the world through people's eyes and to dream of places many of us never even knew existed.
But social media has also changed travel and the nature of blogging. Sharing my travel online has today somewhat been a constant pressure and the staging of every single photo has become the business of every instagrammer.
I have felt the pressure of keeping up and carefully selecting what I chose to share.
I've even promised myself that I would be a leader, not a follower, and stay far away from online traveling trends that would warp my ability to offer my readers the very best & honest tips and insider reports.
The key...is confidence... I had the chance to make every possible mistake and figure out a way to always recover from it. Once you realize that there is life after a mistake, you gain your confidence and that, never goes away,
It goes straight to the heart and once you have that, no one and nothing can take that away from you . . I hope I’ll always have the courage to live a life that’s true to who I am and not the life that others expect of me... 💕[Click link in bio to read the full article] 💕.
